About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Database Engineer with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing, developing, and optimizing databases within a .NET environment. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL skills, experience in C# and .NET, and exposure to modern cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain relational databases, queries, stored procedures, and views.

Work with C# and .NET applications to integrate with backend databases.

Develop and optimize SQL queries to ensure performance and scalability.

Build, maintain, and enhance data analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI and other tools.

Work with Azure fundamentals for database hosting, cloud storage, and data processing.

Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Implement database security, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.

Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, integrity, and connectivity issues.

Contribute to continuous improvement of data workflows, pipelines, and reporting systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2 to 5 years of professional experience as a Database Engineer, SQL Developer, or similar role.

Strong proficiency in SQL Server / T-SQL.

Hands-on experience with C# and .NET Framework/Core.

Experience in Power BI (report building, data modeling, dashboards).

Knowledge of OpenSearch / Elasticsearch is a plus.

Familiarity with Azure fundamentals (databases, cloud services, security).

Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning.

Ability to design, implement, and maintain analytics reports and dashboards.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to big data technologies or search engines like OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.

Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines for databases).

Certification in Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or higher.

Familiarity with reporting automation and advanced data visualization.
