ACT (American College of Thessaloniki), the tertiary division of Anatolia College, is seeking a dynamic educator/leader to fill the position of Chair in the Science and Technology Division.

Summary

This is a US based position. Primary objectives of the position are to help support student recruitment, and maximize conversion of inquiries to applicants by effectively nurturing leads and advising them through the application process phase with outreach activity such as emails, marketing campaigns, info sessions, and online advising meetings. This position will also play a pivotal role on the U.S. Enrollment Management team, responsible for managing all aspects and promotion of the ACT Alumni and ambassador program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works in the Enrollment Management team

  • Maintains regular contacts with student leads and follow-up on inquiries from a variety of sources in a timely manner through email, CRM (Hubspot), phone, zoomcalls and other means while maintaining a level of familiarity with ACT program policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and communicates trends within student inquiries

  • Provides admissions support for students coming to ACT for study abroad, undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Recruits, trains and engages ACT study abroad alumni to support recruitment events, outreach on campus and through social media outlets and online info sessions.
  • Sources opportunities for alumni engagement and promotion.

  • Manages alumni ambassador program and process administrative paperwork for alumni reimbursements.
  • Works closely with other members of the enrollment team to develop and implement recruitment strategies utilizing alumni ambassador networks.
  • Arranges travel and logistics for alumni volunteers who participate in recruitment events.
  • Tracks alumni volunteer participation and manages data related to the admissions process.
  • Develops and executes online information sessions for all prospective and accepted students.
  • Creates content for admissions presentations and program flyers, collaborates on marketing outreach efforts on ACT social media outlets.
  • Assists traveling team members in case management, data entry, and CRM management
  • Represents ACT at student recruitment activities such as study abroad and high school fairs and visits, in addition to conferences and other events in designated regions (dependent on location and coverage) .
  • Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with ACT’s key university and high school partners as well as the local Greek community in designated regions (dependent upon location and coverage) .
  • Gathers all relevant data and other market information from assigned and other territories that may potentially impact the development of future student recruitment activities in designated regions (dependent upon location and coverage).
  • Other appropriate duties as assigned by the Director.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Marketing, Education, Communication, Languages or other related degrees.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player remotely.

  • Highly motivated and self-directed.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment while handling a variety of issues.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, whether dealing with individuals or groups, and the ability to work well with different constituents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Experience using search engines (internet) for research

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Google calendars, Google docs/forms, AI; general Web proficiency
  • Ability to work in a diverse work and cultural environment

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Able to multitask, get tasks done quickly and accurately

  • Adaptability/Flexibility: Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, handles pressure, and adjusts plans to meet changing needs.
  • Teamwork: Actively participates in the team assigned, meets all team deadlines and responsibilities, and helps the team leader to meet goals
  • Driver’s license required, with ability to drive long distances (regional travel)
  • Ability to travel within the US and abroad

  • Answers general public inquiries on recruitment and performs other related duties as required.

Experience

  • Previous work experience in the North American educational system, international education, student recruitment, alumni or college admissions area is considered an asset, especially in the Study Abroad area of a tertiary education institution in the US and/or abroad.
  • Personal Study Abroad Experience is considered an asset

  • Experience using a CRM system is desirable

  • Knowledge of student recruitment and customer contact concepts, principles and practice is considered an asset
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and a willingness to travel overnight
