Job Description / QualificationsJapanese manufacturing company is seeking an Engineer.

【Hiring company】
Printing company. Chicago office is specialized in operations related in industrial materials and electronics precision devices in printing technology.

This position is responsible for providing engineering services for customers, performing project management, and performing troubleshooting, in order to contribute to maximizing customer satisfaction and developing current and new businesses.

Executes Engineering Works:
by understanding customers design intent, engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain challenges; by providing engineering value propositions including but not limited to DMF, feasibility study, mold flow analysis, support in modeling 3D data and making 2D drawing, and counter proposals to the issues customer is facing; by coordinating engineering discussion and making consensus with customers and internal teams within the hiring company; by requesting and receiving engineering supports from teams of the Group in global basis as needed; by providing engineering support for ramping up and troubleshooting at customer site as requested; by reporting to and consulting with its supervisor.

Promotes the hiring companys Technology for Customer Satisfaction and Business Development:
by visiting and developing relationships with customers including but not limited to OEMs, Integrators, molders, formers, laminators and applicators,; by understanding and presenting the hiring companys technology and processes to customers; by understanding the hiring companys quote/selling price structure and lead time/production capacity; by being aware of customers' and competitors' relationships among one another and/or with the hiring company; by making engineering presentations; by negotiating solutions to problems with customers in a manner that is satisfactory to the hiring company; and by facilitating communication with teams in Japan, China, Europe and other regions as necessary.

Manages Programs in the U.S.:
by supporting Sales, Engineering, and Quality departments in order to accommodate customer needs; by assessing the degree of technical quality issues and/or problems with customers; by properly communicating with customers about product defects; and by clarifying responsibilities between the hiring company and customer in response to defects.

Perform Technology Research:
by monitoring the activities and business operations of the competition in order to utilize information and strategies for competitive advantage; by attending industry seminars and examining industry publications and reports; by investigating and bench-marking competitors' information including but not limited to engineering, manufacturing, designing and development.

【Qualification】
Technical Skills
Over 3 years of experience in tooling design or parts design (Injection or thermal forming ).
Knowledge of CAE, including 2D & 3D CAD modeling, mold flow analysis, and documentation.
Familiarity with injection molding, tooling, in-mold decoration, forming, printing, plating, stamping, and assembly.
Experience in automotive industry
Mathematical & Computer Skills
Ability to perform calculations (e.g., percentages, volume, and area).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
Reasoning & Problem Solving
Ability to analyze issues with multiple variables and deliver practical solutions.

Other Skills
Ability to maintain professional conduct and contribute to team morale and respect.


Language Skills
Ability to communicate effectively in Korean is preferred, but not required.
