The Opportunity

Our client is a highly respected, award-winning Scottish events and catering business with over 20 years of experience delivering bespoke weddings, corporate functions, and private dining experiences. With in-house patisserie and bakery facilities, they are recognised for their creativity, use of seasonal Scottish produce, and sustainable approach to catering.

They are now seeking a talented and ambitious Head Chef to lead their culinary operations across multiple kitchens and prestigious venues throughout Scotland.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the companys food offering developing bespoke menus, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring flawless delivery across diverse and high-profile events.

Key responsibilities include:

• Menu Development & Execution: Design and deliver creative, flavour-led menus tailored to each event, showcasing the best of Scottish produce.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a skilled brigade, including pastry and patisserie specialists.
• Quality & Standards: Maintain the highest levels of consistency, taste, and presentation.
• Supplier Relationships: Build and sustain strong partnerships with local producers.
• Operational Oversight: Lead kitchen operations during events, ensuring excellence from preparation to service.
• Innovation: Introduce fresh culinary ideas and concepts to keep menus innovative and exciting.
• Compliance: Uphold rigorous food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Head Chef who brings:

• Proven leadership experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, catering, or large-scale events.
• Strong culinary skills across menu creation, plated service, and bakery/patisserie.
• A passion for Scottish ingredients, seasonality, and sustainability.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
• Adaptability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to delivering memorable culinary experiences.
