ABOUT THE ROLE:

You'll be joining a skilled and passionate team in Lithuania, working on large-scale payment systems that help power international transactions across the fintech world.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Design and implement scalable and secure payment processing solutions built on cloud infrastructure and Linux-based systems.
• Work with SWIFT messaging protocols to integrate with global banks, processors, and financial institutions.
• Develop microservices and APIs using modern software architecture principles to support transaction flows and real-time processing.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across engineering, product, operations, and compliance to ensure smooth solution delivery.
• Continuously monitor, fine-tune, and enhance platform performance, security, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex challenges across distributed systems, ensuring seamless integration between internal and external services.
• Contribute to system architecture design and participate in strategic discussions to guide future platform evolution.

WHAT WE EXPECT:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience in the tech field.
• At least 5 years of experience in back-end development, ideally within the financial services or payment processing domains.
• Proficient working in Linux-based environments and comfortable managing production systems.
• Solid understanding of SWIFT payment protocols and cross-border financial messaging standards.
• Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Go, or similar, with experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, or Cassandra.
• Experience working with event-driven architectures, particularly using tools like Kafka.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Comfortable using monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana or Datadog.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a global, cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with integration platforms like TIBCO, MuleSoft, or IBM-based solutions.
• Previous work integrating with banks, card processors, or payment gateways, especially within e-commerce or fintech ecosystems.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Salary ranges (for employees in Lithuania only): 4500 - 7000 gross (the given range is flexible and depends on your experience).
