Backend Team Lead

Your mission at Additio

As a Backend Team Lead, you will be responsible of developing our platform's backend of our platform and making it work as well and as efficient as possible.

Your responsibilities at Additio

• Leading and mentoring team in both soft and technical skills.
• Implement the backend of amazing new features that will help schools, teachers, families and students around the world.
• Hold dailies, plannings, retrospectives & refinement sessions.
• Do code reviews for the team members.
• Keep up with good code quality across the team and with our coding guidelines contribute to them and optimize.
• Set up development plans for the team.
• Cooperating with other team managers and with the CTO and CPO to decide how to improve the product, the technology and also internal procedures.

What are we looking for from you?

• More than 2 years of experience in back-end development.
  
• An open-minded attitude with technologies and development.
• Experience writing back-end code in PHP.
• Experience writing SQL queries but also analyzing and optimizing them.
• Experience with at least one frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) and with high-traffic backend systems in any language.
• Expericence with noSQL databases, particulary Elastic, Redis and Firebase.
• You are familiar with some of the following tools and platforms: Docker, Linux, Elastic, Redis, ...
• Deep experience working with GIT and preparing new versions of the code
• You feel comfortable communicating in English within an international and multicultural team.
• You love learning and mastering technologies.
• You can work independently and manage goals and deadlines effectively.
• You have an excellent ability to communicate your ideas, regardless of the audience.
