Job Purpose
We are setting up a new greenfield project (240 KTPA capacity in two phases of 120 KTPA each) at Rayong. We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer to contribute to the successful execution of the project within budget and timelines, ensuring compliance with global safety and quality standards. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery from concept to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities

Engineering (15%)
-
Review and verify basic instrumentation engineering work.

Propose corrections and updates in line with latest technologies.

Project Management (25%)
-
Oversee complete project lifecycle from design to commissioning.
-
Manage erection and commissioning of instrumentation systems including DCS, PLCs, analyzers, weighbridge, BMS for boiler and dryer, power plant controllers, iMCC, etc.

Provide technical support to cross-functional teams to prevent delays in project execution.

Team & Contractor Management (15%)

Supervise and guide junior staff and contractors.

Mobilize and manage contractual manpower during construction.
-
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a project environment.

Health, Safety & Quality (15%)
-
Ensure safe execution of all activities as per global safety standards.

Drive quality practices in instrumentation work.

Regulatory & Compliance (15%)
-
Liaise with government agencies for necessary compliance (e.g., weighbridge stampings).

Documentation & Reporting (15%)
-
Maintain accurate and updated records of instrumentation drawings and documents.

Support both internal and external audits.

Managing the complete project lifecycle in a fast-paced, large-scale greenfield setup.

Ensuring use of advanced technologies for timely execution and reliability.
Qualifications & Skills
-
Education: Bachelors Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Instrumentation Engineering.

Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience (greenfield/large brownfield projects preferred).

Industry Background: Chemicals, Cement, Carbon Black, or related process industries.

Technical Expertise:
-
DCS and PLC (types, logic development, installation, and maintenance).
-
Calibration of control valves and instruments.
-
Preparation and interpretation of P&IDs and engineering drawings.
-
Exposure to instrumentation for temperature, pressure, flow, and level measurement.

SAP PM module, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

Behavioral Skills: Team collaboration, problem-solving, positive attitude.

Familiarity with statutory and regulatory requirements.
