Our client is a privacy-focused technology company that has built a portfolio of privacy products ranging from VPN to private second phone apps, ensuring users safety across every touchpoint online. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join their team in building robust systems and solving infrastructure challenges.

Responsibilities

• Work with state of the art technologies to solve genuine, real-world problems

• Implement backend services needed for our Private Communications / Messaging / VOIP platform

• Design and architect innovative, modern solutions

• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards

• Work with frontend team to fine tune existing APIs

• System architecture design

• Collaborate with other developers to innovate on our internal platform, shared components, libraries and development toolchain

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related areas

• Over 3 years of experience in backend software development

• Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures and algorithms

• Passionate about coding, innovation, and solving challenging problems

• Experience in TypeScript/NodeJS, MySQL, AWS

• Bonus if you have experience with building communications or privacy tools as well as in networking and VPN concepts

• Open source contributions
