Home Services Contractor Marketing Agency is Seeking a Google Ads / Paid Media Specialist

We are rapidly growing and looking for a results-driven Google Ads / Paid Media Specialist who can hit the ground running and help us optimize performance for our clients from day one.

Objective

You will be responsible for the hands-on management and optimization of Google Ads campaigns across multiple accounts. Your focus will be on improving cost per lead (CPL), increasing qualified conversions, and ensuring campaigns are on pace to meet monthly budget goals. You will also play a key role in monthly reporting and help build automated reports to increase transparency and save the team time.

This is a client-facing role: You will be expected to join Zoom calls and confidently discuss strategy, performance, and recommendations with both internal team members and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns for home services clients (Search, Display, Video, Remarketing).
  • Monitor daily performance to ensure CPL targets and budget pacing are on track.
  • Conduct regular account audits and identify areas for improvement.
  • Write and test compelling ad copy and responsive search ads.
  • Perform keyword research, build negative keyword lists, and strategically manage match types.
  • Set up and maintain conversion tracking via Google Tag Manager and GA4.
  • Collaborate with creative and landing page teams to align assets with campaign intent.
  • Create monthly performance reports with actionable insights and clear results.
  • Contribute to the development of automated dashboards and reporting systems.
  • Support and optimize Bing Ads and Google Local Services Ads.
  • Assist with or learn about paid social media ads (Meta, Yelp, Houzz, Pinterest) to drive full-funnel performance.
  • Participate in client and internal meetings with camera on; confidently present updates and answer questions.

Required Tools & Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Ads and Google Ads Editor.
  • Strong working knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio.
  • Understanding of CPC bid strategies, conversion tracking, and audience targeting.
  • Familiarity with Bing Ads, Google LSA, and best practices for lead generation advertising.
  • Experience building reports and dashboards (Google Looker Studio, Excel, or other reporting tools).
  • Willingness to support or learn additional platforms like Meta, Yelp, Pinterest, and Houzz.

Requirements

  • Experience managing YouTube and Microsoft Ads.
  • Bonus: Experience working with U.S.-based home services contractors.
  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on paid media experience, preferably in an agency setting.
  • A portfolio or performance summary demonstrating proven CPL and ROAS improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours (with some flexibility).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • A proactive individual who thrives in remote environments and enjoys collaboration.
  • Comfortable managing performance metrics, presenting to clients, and making data-driven decisions.
