Aeliasoft is looking for a Mid-Level QA Engineer – Corporate Banking & Cash Management to join our team and work directly on projects for one of our banking clients.

This position requires a combination of strong software quality assurance skills and practical knowledge of banking and financial services, particularly Corporate Banking and Cash Management.

You will work within a banking technology environment alongside QA, business, product, transformation, and IT teams to ensure that critical banking applications, transaction workflows, and services meet business, technical, quality, regulatory, and operational requirements.

Job Purpose

Execute and support the bank’s quality assurance processes by performing comprehensive testing activities to ensure that systems, applications, and banking services meet defined standards and business requirements.

The QA Engineer will work closely with the QA Manager, business units, product teams, developers, business analysts, and IT teams to execute test cases, identify and manage defects, and contribute to improving system quality across corporate banking, cash management, digital banking, core banking, and operational platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual and/or automated test cases based on approved test plans.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Validate system behavior against business requirements, technical specifications, and expected banking workflows.
  • Define and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, scripts, and testing procedures based on business and technical requirements.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT activities.
  • Test corporate banking and cash-management processes, including transaction flows, business rules, system integrations, and related operational workflows.
  • Identify, document, log, prioritize, and track defects using approved QA and defect-management tools.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, business analysts, QA teams, and banking stakeholders to identify and resolve defects as early as possible.
  • Prepare and manage test data required for different banking, transaction, and integration scenarios.
  • Retest fixes and verify defect resolution before closure and release.
  • Support UAT by preparing testing data and scenarios and validating results with relevant business stakeholders.
  • Support defect tracking and root-cause analysis and contribute to process improvements aimed at reducing production issues.
  • Apply rigorous testing practices to minimize defects following production deployment.
  • Validate critical financial workflows carefully to ensure accuracy, consistency, reliability, and expected system behavior.
  • Ensure QA activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal banking standards, risk-management controls, and audit-readiness requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and testing evidence to support internal controls, governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting on test outcomes, defect metrics, QA performance, testing progress, risks, and outstanding issues.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues and escalate them to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to banking transformation, digitization, process improvement, requirements gathering, and related project initiatives.
  • Work effectively within Agile teams and collaborate with product owners, product managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote quality, continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation across project teams.
  • Follow assigned plans and ensure timely execution and completion of testing activities.
  • Manage assigned time, priorities, and testing activities effectively according to project and release objectives.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Relevant experience within Banking and Financial Services, with exposure to Corporate Banking, Cash Management, or related banking services strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience executing test cases, managing defects, retesting fixes, and supporting end-to-end QA cycles.
  • Experience working on transformation, digitization, or process-improvement initiatives.
  • Experience understanding and gathering business requirements and translating them into user requirements, testing scenarios, and validation activities.
  • Understanding of corporate banking and cash-management business processes and transaction workflows.
  • Experience with QA tools such as Jira, Selenium, TestRail, LoadRunner, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of test automation strategies and their application within enterprise environments.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management, compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements within financial services.
  • Experience working with product ownership or product-management teams in Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and project-management concepts is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand complex banking processes and translate them into comprehensive testing scenarios.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.

In Corporate Banking and Cash Management, a successful test is not simply whether a screen or feature works. You need to understand the underlying business process, transaction flow, integration points, rules, controls, and expected outcomes.

You should be comfortable working with complex requirements, collaborating with banking and technical stakeholders, identifying edge cases and risks, and taking ownership of quality throughout the testing and release lifecycle.
