JOB Description

At AESG we are looking for a Senior Consultant - Sustainability to be based in Dubai and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated sustainability specialist seeking professional development within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering.


JOB PURPOSE

  • Hold responsibility for the overall delivery of the project
  • Manage both the technical and commercial aspects of projects
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to more junior team members


QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

  • The candidate must have a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Architecture, or Environmental Science), with further post-graduate education desirable (e.g., Master's degree), along with demonstrated work experience within the field.
  • Generally, a minimum of 4-8 years of professional experience
  • Professional qualification and work experience with the development, and/or implementation of Sustainability Rating Systems such as LEED, Mostadam, Estidama or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading a sustainability program, policies, and regulatory frameworks
  • The candidate will be expected to work across numerous software platforms, including Microsoft Office, InDesign, Rhino, and Grasshopper. Knowledge of IES is beneficial.
  • Must have experience in a consultancy in the UAE

  • Independently manage complex projects and resolve complex project issues
  • Independent commercial management of projects
  • Generating multiple instances of repeat work with clients
  • Preparation of proposals and seeking and winning new work with existing clients
  • Client oriented and contributes to commercial success of the division
  • Development of strong relationships with existing clients through project delivery
  • Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members and provide formal mentorship
  • Industry leadership through participation in industry professional groups and conferences

  • Industry Experience / Thought Leadership - Demonstrated expertise in discipline, industry leadership through participation in industry professional groups and conferences and the development of research publications.
  • Project Management / Operational Delivery - Proven expertise in discipline with a track record of numerous projects ($150k) successfully delivered independently with high level of Client feedback. Independently manage complex projects and resolve complex project issues. They lead efforts to streamline cross-functional processes and drive efficiency across the organisation.
  • Leadership / Team Management Experience - Ability to independently project manage delivery and guide junior team members within the project team or mentoring junior team members / graduates. Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members.
  • Commercial Acumen / Business Development - Proficiency in creating and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost control. Managing relationships with project vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective procurement. Client oriented and contributes to commercial success of the division.
  • Problem Solving / Decision Making - Generate viable options for addressing problems. Consider the long-term implications of each option.
