About the role:

As a Senior MuleSoft Developer at Aether Global, you will be a key driver in our integration ecosystem. You will work under the direction of our clients to design, build, and maintain high-performance API and integration services. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in the MuleSoft platform and the leadership skills necessary to guide design reviews, manage dependencies, and ensure best practices across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide review and input on the design of any required updates to the MuleSoft platform, and ensure any updates to the business solutions using the MuleSoft technology comply with the customers' best practices
  • Identify external integration dependencies (to the API team) and assist the Customer Project Manager in driving their resolution;
  • Provide technical estimates, assigned stories, and issues;
  • Provide updates to integration solution / API design for enhancements;
  • Produce any updates to API Technical Specifications in accordance with any implementation changes made;
  • Build, Fix & Unit Test API/ Integration Services
  • Participate in backlog planning, daily stand-up, reviews, and retrospectives:
  • Ensure the integrity of the MuleSoft code base, providing code commits and merges are made appropriately to the repository 
  • Create a Pull Request to Trigger deployment process
  • Prepares / reviews deployment procedure and documentation
  • Provide input to, and assist the Customer Project Manager create recovery plan, as needed, if the budget/schedule is missed
  • Based on evaluation of the customer's needs, bring in best practices and recommend suitable technical solutions
  • Provide recommendations to Customer architecture teams to ensure resolution of issues conforms to MuleSoft platform architecture and API designs
  • Provide post-production release Hypercare support, working closely with the Operations team to co-ordinate resolution of technical issues arising
  • Provide knowledge transition of developed solutions to BAU operations

Qualification:

  • Advanced experience with the Anypoint Platform (Design Center, Exchange, Runtime Manager, and API Manager).
  • Proven ability to implement API-led connectivity (System, Process, and Experience layers) using RAML/OAS.
  • Deep proficiency in GIT workflows, CI/CD deployment procedures, and MUnit for rigorous unit testing.
  • Ability to translate complex user stories into accurate technical effort estimates.
  • Capability to evaluate business needs and recommend technical solutions that ensure long-term scalability.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, including active participation in sprints and retrospectives.
  • Ability to interface with PMs and Architecture teams to manage risks and recovery strategies.
  • Strong documentation skills for deployment procedures and knowledge transfer sessions.
