The Workday Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of integrations, reports, and other technical solutions within the Workday platform. This role requires a strong understanding of Workday's architecture and a collaborative spirit to work with cross-functional teams to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday tools and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrations: Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations using various tools such as Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Core Connectors.
  • Reporting: Create and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics using Workday Report Writer and other reporting tools.
  • System Configuration: Configure and maintain Workday modules, including but not limited to Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence Management.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Workday integrations, reports, and configurations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure the system aligns with organizational goals.
  • Maintenance & Upgrades: Stay up-to-date with Workday updates and new releases, and assess their impact on existing configurations and integrations.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all developed solutions and configurations.
  • Testing: Conduct unit testing, system testing, and support end-to-end testing to ensure the quality and reliability of all Workday solutions.

Required Workday Certifications:

  • Workday HCM Certification: Demonstrates foundational knowledge of the Workday HCM platform, which is critical for any developer working with human resources data.
  • Workday Integration Certification: This certification is essential as it validates expertise in building and managing integrations with Workday.
  • Workday Studio Certification: This certification is a strong requirement for a developer, as it proves proficiency in using Workday's advanced development environment for complex integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Workday Developer or in a similar role.

  • Proven experience with Workday's suite of development tools, including Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors.
  • Strong understanding of Workday's business process framework, security model, and object model.
  • Proficiency in web services technologies such as SOAP and REST.

  • Knowledge of programming languages like XML and XSLT is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with other Workday modules (e.g., Financials, Payroll, Recruiting) is a plus.
