Registered Manager Childrens Residential Home Portsmouth - £45,000 £55,000 + Bonus 

New Home Launch Supportive, Child-Centred Provider

Affinity Care Recruitment is working in partnership with a respected childrens residential care provider to recruit a passionate and experienced Registered Manager for a new provider in Portsmouth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a service from the ground up, with full autonomy to shape the culture, team, and outcomes for young people backed by a provider committed to delivering outstanding care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup and registration of a new childrens home with Ofsted
  • Lead and manage daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive and professional team culture
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each childs needs
  • Maintain effective communication with children, families, staff, and external agencies
  • Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing support and development
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective service delivery

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding
  • Oversee the registration process with Ofsted and maintain full regulatory compliance
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a culture of professionalism and empathy
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each child
  • Maintain effective communication with children, families, staff, and external agencies
  • Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing support and development
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective service delivery

Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience in a management role within a childrens residential setting
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent (ESSENTIAL)
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding legislation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence & access to vehicle
  • Right to work full-time in the UK
