Hours: Full-time, Monday Friday 9am-5pm
Salary: £13.49 - £14.84 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting others to live independent, fulfilling lives? Mid Norfolk Mencap is looking for a dedicated Community Support Worker to join our Outreach team. In this full-time role, you will provide one-to-one support for adults with learning disabilities, helping them to thrive in their homes and local communities.

What You'll Do

As a Community Support Worker, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support at home and in the community

• Help individuals build independence through support with daily living tasks such as shopping, cooking, managing money, and accessing health or leisure services

• Encourage social inclusion and support people to try new experiences

• Work alongside families, other professionals, and team members to ensure truly person-centred care

• Support individuals to make informed choices, while respecting their dignity, rights, and privacy

• Maintain accurate records and follow care and support plans

• Monitor wellbeing and report any changes to the management team

• Be a key contact for individuals you support, helping to coordinate their care and maintain updated support plans

• A driver with access to your own vehicle this is essential

• Willing to complete all required training and take part in ongoing professional development

A background in care or support work is desirable but not essential your attitude, values, and commitment matter most.
