About the job IT Systems & Infrastructure Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly competent and proactive IT professional to take ownership of our internal systems, infrastructure, and user support operations. This role goes beyond basic troubleshooting it requires someone who can think strategically about systems reliability, security, scalability, and user experience. Youll be responsible for maintaining our IT environment, implementing process improvements, managing support workflows, and ensuring that all technology resources are optimized for performance and compliance.
You'll work closely with leadership to strengthen IT governance, standardize documentation, and contribute to long-term infrastructure and security planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the IT support function triage, resolve, and close tickets efficiently while improving response and resolution processes.
- Administer and optimize core systems (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, security tools, and endpoints).
- Manage IT infrastructure, including endpoint management, access control, and system monitoring.
- Design and document repeatable IT processes for onboarding, provisioning, patching, and system recovery.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices access management, MFA enforcement, device encryption, backups, and vulnerability response.
- Oversee vendor relationships and software licensing, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead small IT projects and rollouts, from upgrades to migrations and automation initiatives.
- Train and empower users, producing clear guides and reference materials to reduce recurring issues.
- Proactively identify risk and reliability issues and recommend preventative improvements.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure operations.
- Advanced understanding of Windows and Mac environments, Microsoft 365 admin center, and endpoint management.
- Strong grasp of network fundamentals (VPN, VLANs, DNS, firewalls, remote connectivity).

Proven ability to manage IT documentation and SOPs at scale.

Solid working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent preferred.
