Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing business that forms part of a larger, well-established group. The company is experiencing strong growth and is seeking a hands-on Financial Manager to take ownership of the finance function and support the next phase of expansion.

This opportunity is ideal for a young, ambitious CA(SA) with a few years of post-articles experience, or a qualified CIMA professional with strong commercial finance experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in the business, working closely with leadership to provide financial insight, maintain strong financial controls, and support strategic growth initiatives.

This is a full-time, office-based position operating during standard South African business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
  • Monitor financial performance and provide meaningful commercial insights to management
  • Manage VAT, tax compliance, and statutory financial requirements
  • Oversee debtors and creditors, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial controls
  • Ensure financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date
  • Support business decision-making through financial analysis and reporting
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting
  • Work closely with operational teams to provide financial guidance and support
  • Assist leadership in evaluating business performance and growth opportunities

Requirements

  • CA(SA) with approximately 2–5 years post-qualification experience, OR
  • Qualified CIMA professional with relevant commercial finance experience
  • Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management experience
  • Solid understanding of VAT, tax, and financial controls
  • Experience managing debtors and creditors functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to add value beyond financial reporting
  • Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment
  • Pastel Evolution experience is non-negotiable
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Must be willing and able to work from the office on a full-time basis
