Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on complex internal audit co sourcing engagements and full outsourcing engagements, from initial implementation through ongoing compliance.
- Lead internal audit teams for mature public companies and build internal audit and compliance programs for pre IPO and high growth organizations.
- Provide guidance on enterprise wide risk assessments, financial process audits, operational audits, and regulatory compliance including FCPA and banking related requirements.
- Leverage multidisciplinary strengths to provide strategic leadership on advisory engagements for clients in financial services and related industries.
- Ensure that all project deliverables exceed client expectations and reinforce the firms reputation as a trusted advisor.
- Support and mentor internal audit teams, providing coaching, conflict resolution tools, and leadership development.
- Collaborate with clients to develop process improvements, remediation plans, and sustainable control enhancements.
- Communicate complex issues in clear, accessible terms to help clients make informed decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
- Specialization in Financial Services (Banking)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in public accounting or advisory services with increasing levels of responsibility.
- CPA required. CIA or CISA preferred.
- Strong background in internal audit, risk and controls consulting.
- Exceptional project management, people management, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and appropriately for different audiences.
- Proven ability to break down complex issues into simple and actionable insights.
- Demonstrated desire to coach, mentor, and help teams build skills to meet evolving client and regulatory needs.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to identify issues early.
- Comfortable working in high pressure, fast paced environments with fluctuating timelines and scopes.
