Customer Services Representative

A leading healthcare company is seeking Customer Service Representatives with excellent written and spoken English skills. Immediate availability is offered for candidates preferably residing in Santo Domingo DN, Dominican Republic.

The customer service representative is responsible for taking and processing orders from non-English-speaking customers, as well as assisting US-based hospitals with their requests.

Responsibilities

  • Simultaneous Interpretation
  • Listen attentively to speakers and translate their words in real-time, maintaining the rhythm and tone of the conversation.
  • Adapt language and register to the context of the call (medical, legal, commercial, etc.).
  • Convey the message clearly, concisely, and culturally appropriately.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on relevant terms and concepts.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information shared during calls.
  • Act with impartiality and neutrality, avoiding interference with the conversation's content.
  • Adhere to the professional code of ethics.

Requirements

  • Fluently use of provided software and telephone interpretation tools.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical problems and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Adapt to new technologies and software updates.
  • Work as a team with other interpreters and support staff.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and providers to ensure a positive experience.
  • Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and receive it openly.
  • Native or near-native level in at least two languages (English and Spanish).
  • Excellent active listening, clear and concise oral expression, and language adaptation to different contexts.
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Empathy, patience, ability to work under pressure, and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience

  • University student or certification (preferable).
  • Previous experience in telephone or in-person interpretation (desirable).

  • DOP $ 43,500 / month + Bonus of USD 4,000 after 3 months + other benefits
