About the job Retail Executive
Job Purpose:
The Executive supports business plans, manages staff matters, and oversees store-level functions such as customer service, scheduling, operations, cashiering, loss prevention, maintenance and back-office work. The role includes training staff to ensure strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, meticulous and able to work well with others.
Duties and Responsibilities:
People
Recruit, induct, manage, train and develop retail crew
Ensure staff comply with procedures and standards
Maintain adequate staffing levels
Support staff development
Address performance or shop issues in a timely manner
Uphold Qi Jis reputation and customer-first approach
Communicate effectively with retail operations manager and staff
Promote customer care and manage complaints
Performance
Grow sales and motivate staff toward this goal
Oversee retail crew performance
Use basic negotiation skills
Develop strategies for excellent service and compliance with safety and food standards
Manage warehouse stock communications
Build a productive and innovative culture
Procedures
Collate shop information and reports with accuracy and within deadlines
Follow company policies and operational changes
Ensure safety and security according to company and MOM guidelines
Evaluate technology and processes for performance improvement
Maintain SFA and halal certification requirements
General
Maintain strict confidentiality
Stay updated with policies and procedures
Cooperate with new technology and methods
Analyse performance issues and impact
Manage Teams
Address team performance gaps
Mentor team members
Qualifications:
Minimum Degree
Skills and Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant retail or operations experience
Computer literacy
Understanding of service trends and training
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Leadership through coaching and mentoring
People-oriented and teamwork-driven
Able to build a cohesive work culture
Working Conditions:
6 working days
May be required to work at different locations as needed
