Overview
Our client is looking for a committed Civil Engineer to join our project team in Kuala Lumpur. You will be involved in planning, coordinating, and supervising civil works for building and/or infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with design and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating civil and structural works for assigned projects.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure feasibility and constructability.
- Coordinate with consultants, main contractor/subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical and site issues.
Technical & Design Support
- Review civil/structural drawings and highlight discrepancies, clashes, or buildability issues.
- Prepare or check bar bending schedules, temporary works proposals, and technical submissions where required.
- Raise and track RFIs (Requests for Information) with consultants/client on design clarifications.
Site Supervision & Quality Assurance
- Supervise civil and structural works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and QMS.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks; ensure works follow safety and environmental requirements.
- Monitor workmanship, materials, and progress; report any non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
Progress, Cost & Documentation
- Monitor work progress against programme and highlight delays or risks to the Project Engineer/Manager.
- Assist in verification of quantities, joint measurement, and support claims/VO documentation.
- Prepare daily/weekly site reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation as required.
Health, Safety & Environment

Promote and enforce HSE rules and procedures on site.
- Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; support investigations and corrective measures.
Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum 3-10 years of working experience in civil engineering,
preferably in building and/or infrastructure projects. - Good knowledge of civil and structural construction methods, materials, and standards.

Familiar with Malaysian codes and local authority requirements.
- Proficient in MS Office; exposure to AutoCAD and basic structural software is an advantage.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Able to work independently on site and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Willing to be based in Kuala Lumpur and visit various project sites within the Klang Valley.

Position 2: Civil Engineer (Melaka Site-Based)

Location: Melaka (Project Site-Based)

Overview
Our international client is hiring a site-based Civil Engineer for our project in Melaka. This role is focused on day-to-day site supervision, coordination, and technical support to ensure civil works are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with project design and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Site Execution & Supervision
- Oversee daily civil and structural works on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve targeted progress.
- Check setting out, levels, formwork, reinforcement, and concreting works.
Technical & Inspection Duties
- Conduct joint inspections with consultants/RE/RTO/Clerk-of-Works for structural elements and finishes as required.
- Ensure proper inspection requests (IRs) and related documentation are prepared and submitted on time.
- Assist in resolving site technical issues by coordinating with the design/consultant team.
Quality, Progress & Records
- Monitor quality of materials delivered and used on site; ensure correct storage and usage.
- Track daily manpower, machinery, and material usage and record in site reports.
- Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports and support monthly reporting to the Project Engineer/Manager.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with safety procedures and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with Safety & Health personnel to implement site safety measures.
Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 25 years experience in civil engineering, with strong exposure to site-based construction works.
- Experience in building and/or infrastructure projects (e.g. roads, bridges, structures, utilities) is an advantage.
- Able to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and specifications confidently.
- Familiar with site practices, inspection processes, and local authority/site requirements.

Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Willing to be based full-time at the Melaka project site and work extended hours when required to meet project deadlines.
