Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is an established construction company that is urgently looking for Senior QS / QS / Junior QS. Salary is in the range of RM4,000 - RM10,000.00, depending on working experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and submission of budgetary estimates from tender drawings, Bill of Quantities for all disciplines and costs estimation, progress claim, variation order, evaluation of claims, etc.
• Prepare award of contracts, check contract documents and, recommend contractor's valuations.
• Accountable for pre and post-contract management, monitoring materials and construction cost, site valuation, variation order, and final accounts.
• Assist in operation matters on contractual issues and any other contracts administration duties related to QS.
• Monitor on amendments to the scope of works and conditions of contract, variation order and apply an extension of time if necessary.
• Acquire quotations from contractors and suppliers for purpose of cost assessment, analysis, or budgeting.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
• Coordinate with the finance department on payment-related matters, monitoring monthly projection of cash flow, physical report for an ongoing project.
• Attend site valuation, site measurement, and regular meetings when necessary in KL and Melaka.
• Prepare/verify payment certificates and finalize final account of projects.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
• Have experience in bridges, roads, buildings.
• Willing to work at the construction site.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office application, AutoCAD), Glodon is advantage
• QS post for both Pre & Post Contract works in Building Construction.
• Knowledge of construction methods, costing summary, and materials budget handling skills.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
• Able to prioritize and respond with an appropriate level of urgency.
• Highly reliable, and confident with handling data.
• Able to communicate in both languages of Bahasa Melayu and English (Mandarin language is advantage)
• Able to work in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka, Malaysia.
