Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • In charge of monitoring company performance and achieving the volume and gross profit (GP) target for the region.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Sales Department or other Company goals and objectives.
  • Assists in the completion of RFPs in order to secure new projects.
  • Identifies new product opportunities, product and service changes, consumer demands and trends, and competitor tracking to recommend product lines.
  • Lead development of sales strategy, including value proposition, market segmentation, differentiation, market insight, brand strategy, and industry trends, as well as white space opportunities.
  • Assist in leading sales projects or initiatives and support, review, and approval of each business's sales strategies.
  • Creates a sales plan and quota for sales team to support commercial goals and set sales targets.
  • Coordinate efforts in the corrective sales campaign as needed to achieve target requirements.
  • Achieve revenue targets by (i) acquiring strategic, high-value clients dispersed across several industry verticals and generating new business. (ii) Maintaining current business; (iii) Increasing business from current clients by cross-selling various products or logistics services
  • Assure that the Sales function is aligned with the business objectives and managed strategically to maximize shareholder value.
  • Participation in the creation of the annual budget as well as its monitoring and execution
  • Conducts research to increase knowledge of industry trends, best practises, marketing, and sales for both themselves and the company.
  • As part of promoting growth across all industries, provide sales people with direction and support. Effective management of a succession planning programme in support of sector goals
  • Participate in talent management, sustain organisational competency, and enhance it.
  • Build relationships with peers and other internal affiliates to implement best practices as needed

Knowledge

  • Bachelors degree in business or any other field
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • At least 3 years sales experience, preferably in Freight Forwarding

Computer Skills

  • Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
