About the Company
Our client is an international engineering group specializing in the design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of advanced lifting and handling systems for demanding industries such as oil & gas, nuclear, military, and renewable energy.
As part of its regional expansion, the company is strengthening its Malaysian office with a Document Contoller who will support project execution and contribute to high-quality technical documentation delivery.
Main Mission
The Document Controller plays a key role in the successful execution of industrial projects from prospection phase to final delivery.
You will support project engineers by managing the full documentation lifecycle, preparing technical documents, and ensuring that all administrative and quality requirements are met.
Your ultimate objective is to help ensure smooth project progress and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Management
- Identify and implement the documentation exchange process required for each project.
- Participate in Kick-Off Meetings with clients to establish documentation requirements.

Create and maintain technical documentation including:

General Arrangement Drawings (simple GAD)

Datasheets
-
IOM (Installation, Operation & Maintenance) manuals

Bills of materials and technical reports
-

Ensure all documentation complies with project specifications, formats, and standards.

Track documentation progress and update the documentation follow-up table.

Prepare final documentation files and ensure timely submission to clients.

Expedite documentation review and return cycles internally and externally.
Project Support

Monitor documentation planning and ensure deadlines are met.

Report progress, anticipate risks, and raise alerts when deviations arise.

Manage all administrative tasks related to project execution.

Contribute to good collaboration with suppliers, local partners, and clients.
Technical Support (depending on skills)
- Conduct simple mechanical studies (drawings, datasheets, BOM) under the guidance of engineers.

Assist project engineers with ad hoc tasks to support project delivery.

Required Qualifications & Skills
-
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration.

Minimum 2 years of related experience in technical documentation, project coordination, or engineering support.

Experience in a manufacturing or project-based company is a strong advantage.

Good knowledge of technical documentation production and engineering workflows.

Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar design software is an added advantage.

Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills; methodical and detail-oriented.

Ability to work independently in a multicultural international environment.

Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Knowledge of the oil & gas industry or understanding of industrial project environments is a plus.

Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
