EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of the Malaysia and Thailand business. This role requires a finance leader with strong business acumen, a proactive communication style, and close proximity to day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in financial planning, analysis, and strategy, with a proven track record in driving operational excellence and sustainable growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Finance Leadership

  • Drive financial strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Partner closely with the CEO (Malaysia & Thailand) and Regional Senior Leadership to provide financial insights that shape key decisions.
  • Ensure strong financial governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Business Partnership & Communication

  • Act as a strategic business partner to operations, client delivery, and business development teams.
  • Maintain close proximity to business to understand operational challenges and support decision-making.
  • Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital optimization in Malaysia and Thailand.
  • Contribute to improvement of cash circulation within the Group.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws and regulatory reporting.
  • Act as primary liaison with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
  • Optimize the company's tax position through effective planning.

Procurement & Facilities Management

  • Lead procurement initiatives to ensure cost efficiency and value optimization.
  • Support expansion projects in Malaysia and Thailand.

Legal Framework

  • Coordinate with legal teams to review contracts, financial clauses, and compliance matters.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • Previous experience with a Big Four accounting firm.
  • 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial, tax, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and strategic vision.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience in a multinational environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and digital finance transformation.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.

This role is based in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur or Penang) and requires a strong on-site presence. The CFO will be a visible, proactive leader with a business-first mindset and a commitment to operational excellence.
