About the job Operation Manager (Logistics)

As an Operation Manager, you'll be instrumental in overseeing the daily operations, ensuring that their logistics chain runs smoothly and efficiently.
As an Operation manager, you will oversee and manage their green last mile delivery operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of delivery personnel, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans.
- Train new team members on company policies, procedures, and sustainable practices.
Receiving and Sorting:
- Supervise daily operations related to goods receiving, including offloading parts and clearing them for processing.
Ensure team members move parts to trolleys and scan items as required.
Dispatching:
- Oversee daily dispatching tasks such as labeling, moving parts to designated trolleys, and unloading trucks.
- Ensure all parts are arranged correctly according to the dispatch system.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure team conducts self-inspections on part numbers, descriptions, quantities, conditions, and any other specific requirements.
- Address and report any non-compliance issues to higher management.
Policy Adherence:
- Enforce strict adherence to all company policies and ensure that all procedures are followed correctly.
- Maintain orderly and controlled movement of materials from the receiving dock into the warehouse and to the dispatching docks.
Housekeeping and Safety:
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure adherence to the 5S methodology in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with the company's safety rules and regulations.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Supervise daily maintenance of material handling equipment (MHE) to ensure they are in good condition and maintenance records are updated accordingly.
Inventory Management:
- Support the supervisor with cycle counts, troubleshooting inventory variances, and handling urgent shipments.
Additional Duties:
- Carry out any other related duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
To excel in this role, you should have:
Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within the logistics or delivery industry, preferably 2+ years.
Effective Team Player with Strong Communication Skills: Ability to lead a team, communicate clearly, and promote a positive work environment.
Proficiency in Technology: Comfortable utilizing phone applications and other technological tools to enhance work efficiency.
Training in Material Handler Equipment (MHE) is
Desirable: Completion of an MHE training course is advantageous.
Punctuality and Commitment: Consistently meets deadlines and demonstrates dedication to task completion.
Reliability and Professionalism: Shows reliability, trustworthiness, and acts professionally at work.
