Data Engineer (Electrical Manufacturing)

The Role

In order to build the analytic team, they are looking for an IT DATA Engineer. This is an exciting new opportunity working as part of the Corporate IT team to develop new capabilities and establish a supportable model of platform and
applications, growing the companies use of modern technologies. The IT Data engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing big data solutions within LEM organization, that collect, manage, and convert raw data
into usable information for data business analysts.
He / she ensures data availability, reliability, and consistency. They play a crucial role in transforming raw data into usable formats for analysis and use by other teams.

The main tasks will be related to:
Application Design
- Analyse and organize raw data
- Build Data flow and Data model
- Build systems and pipelines (ETL)
- Interpret trends and patterns
- Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling
- Build algorithms and prototypes
- Combine raw information from different sources
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability (Data flows optimization and Tuning)
- Develop analytical tools and programs
- Collaborate with IT DATA architects on several projects

Development & maintenance
- Assume the 2nd and 3rd level support activities in the user service request and incidents,
- Ensures compliance with data security at all times.
- Writes and maintains the documentation
- Evaluates applications and databases performance

Skills required:
- Customer driven approach
- Experience working in Azure Data Factory, Azure databricks, or other
- Experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Strong problem solving, ability to work under pressure and able to prioritise
- Self-management and ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with remote teams
- Very good oral and written communication
- Fluency in English
- Previous experience in Data engineer / Data analyst role (5 yrs)
- Experience with the administration and development of PowerBI reports is a plus
- Experience with AI and machine learning algorithms, concepts, and implementation is a plus
