The Company
The RHD Group (Ressorts Huon Dubois), based in France, is the European leader in the manufacturing of precision springs and metal components for the medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, automotive, and aerospace industries.
The role
As part of the creation of its subsidiary RHD Asia Sdn. Bhd., the Group is recruiting a Sales Manager based in Kuala Lumpur.
This role is key during the ASEAN start-up and development phase.
Year 1:
Generate initial contracts
Build a commercial pipeline across ASEAN + China
Achieve initial revenue targets
Year 2:
Consolidate sales
Secure recurring contracts
Prepare the industrial phase
Achieve further revenue growth
Reporting line
President, RHD Group
Future Director, RHD Asia
Travel:
50% of the time in Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and China)
Occasional travel to France
Key responsibilities
ASEAN business development
Identify and prospect new clients (pharma, medical, halal cosmetics)
Develop a client portfolio in Malaysia and ASEAN
Respond to tenders and technical consultations
Negotiate commercial terms
Follow up on opportunities through to closing
Account management
Retain existing clients
Ensure order follow-up (export France Malaysia)
Manage client relationships (technical and commercial)
Contribute to pricing and margin definition
Technical support and group coordination
Act as an interface between ASEAN clients and the RHD France plant
Translate client needs into technical specifications
Follow up on product developments
Participate in technical validations
Strategic development
Contribute to the ASEAN commercial strategy
Identify industrial opportunities
Support the preparation of industrial setup (phase 3)
Conduct market and competitive intelligence
Representation of RHD Asia
Participate in trade shows (medical / pharma, etc.)
Develop the local network (CCI, MIDA, clusters)
Represent the Group with local partners
Candidate profile:
Education
Master's degree (Engineering or Business School)
Technical background appreciated (mechanical / materials)
Malaysian nationality
Experience
Minimum 5 to 10 years in industrial business development
Experience in: medical device; metallurgy; mechanical engineering
or technical industry

B2B business development
Ability to read technical drawings

Fluent English (mandatory)
