About the job Field Service Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of equipment and systems at customer sites.
- Provide on-site troubleshooting, repair, and emergency service support to ensure equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with company standards and service schedules.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues efficiently.
- Train customers' operational personnel on the proper use of equipment and systems.
- Train customers' technical teams on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
- Prepare and maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
- Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors or installation teams when required.
- Support sales teams by providing technical expertise and assistance during customer engagements.
- Participate in equipment demonstrations, trade shows, exhibitions, and other company events when required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and management regarding technical issues, customer feedback, and project updates.
- Continuously update technical knowledge and stay informed on new products, technologies, and industry developments.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, or similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and electrical schematics.
- Proven troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically, regionally, and internationally as required.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
