About the job Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Review product requirements, specifications, and design documents to define testing scope and objectives.
- Create, develop, and execute test cases (manual and/or automated) based on business requirements and user scenarios.
- Conduct various testing types, including Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E) Testing, and Regression Testing.
- Perform UI/UX validation to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Carry out non-functional testing such as performance, security, and usability testing.
- Execute cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility.
- Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Browser Dev Tools).
- Validate bug fixes and ensure issues are fully resolved prior to release.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and Designers to clarify requirements and address issues.
- Ensure all testing activities adhere to established QA processes and standards.
- Prepare test reports and provide clear, timely updates on testing progress to stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Fundamental understanding of software testing concepts and QA methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing for web and/or mobile applications, including both black-box and white-box testing.
- Ability to create clear, well-structured test cases and comprehensive bug reports.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, or other bug tracking systems, as well as basic use of browser Developer Tools.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on product quality.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
- Good to have exposure to the Telco / Telecommunications industry is an added advantage.
- Nice to have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or API testing is preferred.
- Advantages if familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Robot Framework.
