Manual QA Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to develop thorough test plans and detailed test cases.
  
• Conduct manual testing across various types, including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  
• Detect, document, and track software defects using tools like Jira. Provide clear, reproducible steps and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Validate backend services and integrations using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Perform basic SQL queries to verify data accuracy and backend processing.
• Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers within an Agile/Scrum framework to ensure quality is embedded from the outset.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date test documentation, including test scripts, execution logs, and summary reports.
  

Job Requirements:

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
  
• Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile frameworks.
• Keen attention to detail with the ability to evaluate software from an end-user perspective.
• Proficient in Jira (or similar bug tracking tools) and Postman for testing and defect management.
• Capable of writing and executing basic SQL queries to validate data integrity.
• Excellent verbal and written skills to clearly explain complex issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
