Job Summary:

Our Client, a well-established Foreign Bank in Malaysia is seeking a person skilled and experienced in Corporate Advisory and M&A to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and leading Corporate Advisory and M&A Advisory mandates for the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute Corporate Advisory and M&A transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and investment facilitation.
  • Support deal origination and business development activities in collaboration with internal teams (e.g. sector bankers)
  • Advise clients on transaction structuring, valuation considerations, and strategic options.
  • Manage end-to-end deal execution, including due diligence coordination, financial analysis, and documentation.
  • Prepare and review pitch materials, information memorandum, financial models, and client presentations
  • Engage with clients, investors and stakeholders, government agencies, and business partners.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (risk, compliance, legal, credit) and external parties (advisors, consultants, regulators)
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to building internal advisory capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline (professional qualifications such as CFA/CPA is an advantage)
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance, M&A advisory, Investment Banking or related field.
  • Strong understanding of M&A processes, transaction structuring, and financial analysis, with the ability to support cross-border transactions.
  • Proven track record in executing transactions and managing multiple stakeholders, including clients, advisors, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical, research, and data interpretation skills, with the ability to derive insights and support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Proficiency in Financial modelling, preparation of presentation materials, and analytical work.
