Job Purpose
- Implement and manage the organizations AML, ABC, and Fraud risk compliance programs.
- Support the Head of AML by providing leadership and guidance in AML, ABC, and Fraud risk management.
- Develop and execute risk management plans within the team to promote strong AML compliance culture and operational resilience.
- Ensure AML/CFT initiatives, including ABC and Fraud risk management, are effectively carried out across the organization.
- Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to develop compliance programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Represent the organization and promote excellence in AML compliance, ABC, and Fraud risk functions.
Key Responsibilities
Governance (AML, ABC & Fraud Risk)
- Ensure the Banks compliance governance framework meets group and regulatory standards.
- Maintain clear governance and accountability for managing AML, ABC, and Fraud risks, including policies and procedures.
Risk Management
- Oversee the implementation of AML, ABC, and Fraud risk programs.
- Identify and assess AML, ABC, and Fraud risks (e.g., Institutional, Product, and Customer Risk Assessments).
Advisory
- Keep the Head of AML informed of regulatory changes and their impact on the Banks risk profile.
- Provide guidance to business and operations teams on AML regulations and internal policies.
Training and Awareness
- Promote an AML compliance culture, emphasizing that risk management is everyones responsibility.
- Train the first line of defense on laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Human Resource Management
- Build internal team knowledge to identify and mitigate AML risks effectively.
- Provide guidance and strategy to ensure the AML function is effective.
- Manage team performance to meet objectives and improve overall performance.
