About Our Client

Our client is an established international financial services organisation with a long-standing presence in Malaysia. The organisation is recognised for its strong governance, people-centric culture, and commitment to building high-performing teams. As part of its continued growth, it is seeking an experienced HR leader to drive its Total Rewards and Performance Management agenda.

Responsibilities

Total Rewards

  • Lead the annual compensation review cycle, including salary benchmarking, increment, bonus and incentive planning.
  • Ensure the organisation's remuneration and benefits programmes remain competitive and aligned with market practices.
  • Oversee employee benefits programmes and recommend enhancements to support employee wellbeing and organisational objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice on compensation structures, job evaluation and reward frameworks.
  • Oversee payroll governance and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Performance Management

  • Lead the organisation's end-to-end performance management process, including goal setting, mid-year reviews and annual performance evaluations.
  • Drive performance calibration, succession discussions and talent differentiation.
  • Monitor probation reviews, performance improvement initiatives and promotion recommendations.
  • Analyse performance trends and provide insights to support workforce planning and talent development.

HR Governance & Operations

  • Review and enhance HR policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Prepare management reports and HR-related business papers.
  • Ensure employee records, organisational structures and job documentation remain current and compliant.
  • Support internal and external audits relating to HR processes.

Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop the HR team to deliver operational excellence.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the HR function.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal governance standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with significant exposure to Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits and Performance Management.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation strategy, salary benchmarking, job evaluation and rewards frameworks.
  • Experience managing payroll governance and HRIS platforms.
  • Good understanding of Malaysian employment legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience within the financial services industry will be an added advantage.
