About the job Head Payment Operations
Job Summary:
Our Client, a well-established Foreign Bank in Malaysia is seeking a person experienced in payments operations processing & support to lead their dynamic Payment Operations division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the operations and processing support for the various products under the payments operations of the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide back-office support for Payment Operations products (e.g., Cash Management, Remittances, Loans, Fixed Term Deposits) for the bank.
- Monitor, authorize, and ensure timely processing of eSPICK (incoming/outgoing) transactions.

Share relevant updates and instructions with staff.
- Liaise with PAYNET/BNM on RENTAS, eSPICK, and other domestic payment issues.

Participate and coordinate internal and BNM system UAT/tests.

Handle customer/correspondent complaints and take necessary action.

Troubleshoot and resolve transaction processing issues.

Take corrective measures for audit findings.

Identify training needs and ensure staff competency.

Perform daily second-level control checks.

Approve transactions within designated authority limits.

Provide support/backup in trade & treasury operations as needed.

Enforce FEA rules with strict control on transaction processing.

Monitor SWIFT and non-SWIFT screening hits.

Conduct regular cross-training to reduce single-person dependency.

Support and contribute to both local and regional projects.

Assist Head of Operations with ad-hoc duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Tertiary education in a related field.
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- Understanding and knowledge of global payment products & operations in banking.
