POSITION OVERVIEW
We are on the lookout for a motivated Process Engineer (m/f/d) with a solid background in process engineering related to syngas production, syngas conditioning, and biomass power plants. This mid-level role is crucial for supporting the design, define, and develop efficiency of our processes to meet the current and future needs of our industry and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Support: Provide engineering support for the development and optimization of processes within syngas production, syngas conditioning, and biomass power plant operations.
- P&ID and Process Descriptions: Develop and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and process descriptions, ensuring they meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Energy Balances: Perform energy balances to evaluate the efficiency of process operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to facilitate the seamless integration of new systems and processes.
- Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining detailed process documentation, including operating procedures and process definitions.
- Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support to operational and maintenance teams, contributing to troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for candidates with a focus on syngas and biomass processes.
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in process engineering, specifically within syngas production plants, syngas conditioning plants, or biomass power plants.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and drawing P&IDs, conducting energy balances, and understanding process operations within the targeted industries. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of German is a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
Working Conditions:
- Hours: 40 hours per week with the expectation of flexibility for occasional additional hours to meet project deadlines.
- Physical Requirements: Some physical activities may be required, including site visits and equipment inspections.
- Travel: Minimal travel is expected, with occasional requirements for project-specific visits or professional development, making it a rare but valued part of the role.
