POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) with a strong background in Biomass/Gasification systems or similar to join our team. The Commissioning Engineer will play a vital role in the successful implementation, testing, and operation of biomass systems. The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of gasification and energy production technology and its integration into industrial processes, along with proficiency in English and German languages. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct commissioning, installation, and testing of biomass systems, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of biomass systems into existing processes.
  • Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain commissioning schedules, documentation, and reports to track progress and ensure compliance with project timelines.
  • Provide technical support to clients, addressing inquiries, resolving technical challenges, and offering expert guidance on biomass system operation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source required equipment, components, and materials for biomass system commissioning and maintenance.
  • Assist in the training of operational staff in the safe and effective operation of biomass systems.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in biomass technology to continuously enhance system performance and operational processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in commissioning, building, and operating biomass systems.
  • Proficiency in English language to communicate with international clients and partners. German language proficiency is an added advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of biomass systems, including combustion processes, gasification, feedstock handling, emissions control, and system integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and operation.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards, regulations, and best practices in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage documentation, reports, and project schedules.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and occasional travel, as required by project demands.

Working Conditions:

  • Regular working hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime, weekend work, and night shifts may be required as per project needs and legal regulations.
  • Work may involve physical activities such as climbing, lifting, and working in outdoor environments.
