Junior DevOps Engineer

Our client is looking for a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join their infrastructure team. This position is specifically designed for IT Administrators who are ready to take the next step in their career and grow into modern DevOps practices.

You will work directly with senior engineers, gradually taking ownership of CI/CD pipelines, container workloads, and infrastructure automation - while building on the solid foundation you already have in systems and network administration.

The field is gambling game development and maintenance for international partners. The product is adapted for different platforms and browsers (iOS/Android).

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve Linux-based server environments (on-premise and hybrid).
• Write and optimize Bash and Python automation scripts to reduce manual workload.
• Build and maintain Docker containers; support Kubernetes deployments.
• Assist in setting up and improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and participate in incident resolution.
• Collaborate with development and support teams to streamline deployments.
• Document infrastructure changes and contribute to runbooks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a System / IT Administrator.
• Solid Linux skills: file system, user management, networking, services.
• Basic Bash scripting and comfort working in a terminal.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, firewalls.
• Eagerness to learn and grow into a DevOps role.
• Good command of English (spoken & written).

Nice to Have (not mandatory)

• Hands-on experience with Docker (building / running containers).
• Exposure to any CI/CD tool (even self-study counts).
• Basic Git knowledge (commits, branches, pull requests).
• Any experience with Kubernetes, Terraform or Ansible.
• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELK.
