Web3 Technical Team Lead (3 month contract)

Overview

We are seeking a Technical Team Lead to coordinate a cross-functional team delivering Web3 applications. This role is focused on ensuring smooth collaboration across frontend, backend, indexing, and smart contract integration workflows. While direct contract development is not required, you should have a strong understanding of DeFi systems, how to interact with smart contracts, and how to guide teams in integrating them safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Coordination: Facilitate alignment and clear communication between frontend, backend, QA, and smart contract contributors.
• Integration Architecture: Define and oversee how contracts, indexing solutions, backend services, and the web app connect.
• Sprint Leadership: Break down requirements into engineering tasks, support project planning, and ensure delivery milestones are met.
• Code Review: Provide technical feedback on frontend, backend, and indexing work to ensure reliable integration with contracts.
• Testing & Delivery: Collaborate on QA planning, validate DApp-to-contract interactions, and support final release testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience with recent focus on Web3 or DeFi applications.
• Hands-on experience integrating smart contracts into backend or frontend systems (ethers.js, web3.js, or API wrappers).

• Proficiency with The Graph (schema design, subgraphs, GraphQL queries).

• Experience working with product, design, and QA to coordinate delivery of MVPs or production-ready features.

• Previous leadership role in a technical capacity.

• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, and React.
