Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Logistics to lead and optimize all logistics operations in Congo-Brazzaville. The role will be responsible for overseeing import operations via shipping, managing port clearance, and coordinating road distribution throughout the region. The successful candidate will ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant logistics solutions, supporting the business growth in a Francophone market.
Key Responsibilities

Logistics Leadership: Lead the end-to-end logistics function, from import through shipping to inland distribution.

Port Operations: Work closely with the Port In-Charge to oversee customs clearance, documentation, and the smooth release of goods.

Distribution Management: Develop and manage road distribution networks to ensure timely and reliable delivery of products.

Optimization: Streamline logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve turnaround times.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to local laws, customs regulations, and international trade requirements.

Vendor & Partner Management: Build and maintain relationships with shipping lines, clearing agents, distributors, and road transport providers.

Reporting: Provide regular updates, KPIs, and analysis to senior management on logistics performance.

Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage logistics staff, ensuring skills development and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 810 years experience in logistics management, with proven experience in port clearance and inland distribution.

Strong knowledge of shipping and port operations.

Demonstrated experience working in a Francophone African country (French language skills strongly preferred).

Solid understanding of import/export regulations, customs clearance, and international shipping practices.

Proven ability to optimize supply chain processes and manage high-volume logistics.

Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (or equivalent).
