Fresh Produce Sales Executive

Job Title: Fresh Produce Sales Manager Brazzaville, Republic of Congo

Location: Brazzaville (with travel to nearby regions)
Reports To: Commercial / Country Director

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Professional to lead and grow sales of fresh farm vegetables within Brazzaville and surrounding Central African markets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local produce markets, distribution networks, and buyer relationships, with the ability to connect farm production directly to end clients supermarkets, wholesalers, restaurants, and distributors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional buyers (retailers, hotels, markets, distributors).
• Identify new business opportunities within Congo-Brazzaville, Kinshasa, Pointe-Noire, and regional export markets.
• Negotiate and manage sales contracts, pricing, and payment terms.
• Work closely with farm teams to align harvest schedules, quality standards, and delivery planning.
• Coordinate distribution logistics, ensuring fresh produce reaches clients on time and in good condition.
• Conduct market analysis to understand pricing trends, buyer preferences, and competition.
• Support the companys brand visibility through local trade fairs, agri events, and client engagement.

Candidate Profile

5-10 years experience in selling fresh vegetables or horticultural produce in Africa.

Established network within Brazzaville and regional food markets (retail, wholesale, or export).

Knowledge of cold-chain logistics, warehousing, and post-harvest handling.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills in French and English.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for agriculture and local market development.

Must be based in or willing to relocate to Brazzaville.

Preferred Backgrounds

• Previous experience with: fresh produce exporters, agri cooperatives, fruit & veg distributors, or horticultural farms.

• Backgrounds such as: Fresh Produce Sales Executive, Agribusiness Development Manager, Commercial Officer Horticulture, or Farm Sales Lead.
