Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead for a 12-month onsite contract in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The role will be responsible for leading end-to-end data migration strategy, planning, execution, and governance for an SAP implementation (ECC and/or S/4HANA).

The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on migration expertise combined with leadership experience managing data teams, coordinating with functional streams, and driving successful cutover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the overall Data Migration Strategy and Roadmap
• Manage end-to-end data migration lifecycle:
• Data assessment & profiling
• Data mapping & transformation
• Data cleansing & validation
• Mock loads & reconciliation
• Cutover planning & execution
• Lead data migration team and coordinate across functional modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PS, EAM, etc.)
• Oversee use of SAP migration tools:
• SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC / LTMOM)
• LSMW
• BDC / BAPI / IDoc methods
• SAP Data Services (if applicable)
• Establish data governance and quality control processes
• Manage risk, issues, and stakeholder communication
• Ensure timely completion of migration cycles and sign-offs
• Support go-live and hypercare activities

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of SAP data migration experience
• Minimum 2 full-cycle SAP implementations as Data Migration Lead or Senior Consultant
• Strong hands-on experience in S/4HANA data migration
• Experience managing large data volumes
• Strong knowledge of master and transactional data structures
• Proven experience in mock load cycles, reconciliation, and cutover execution
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
