Senior Consultant in .NET (with German)

Akindra Talents is a Romania-based IT workforce company providing flexible (IT) Staffing solutions and support to global customers. At Akindra Talents (based in the heart of Transylvania - Romania), we focus on connecting talents to our customers all over Europe. We build and manage remote (operational) support and development teams and offer support to our (freelance) collaborators during their journey.

For this project, we are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to support and advise on street lighting processes. The consultant will take ownership of maintaining and developing the street lighting management system while driving process optimization and digitalization initiatives. The project involves both technical expertise and process consulting to enhance efficiency and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the documentation system for street lighting with a bi-temporal data model
• Develop and optimize reports, analyses, and evaluations
• Support multiple interfaces with third-party systems
• Develop and expand mobile applications for installation and maintenance teams, ensuring smooth data exchange
• Maintain and support backend services for data transfer processes
• Advise on the optimization and digitalization of energy industry processes
• Plan, coordinate, and implement new requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
• Retrieve and manage requirements and bug fixes from the backlog independently

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience in maintaining and developing large-scale software systems
• Expert knowledge of C#, .NET Framework 4.8, Visual Basic 6, ActiveX, and COM
• Excellent SQL skills (Oracle PL/SQL and MS Jet dialect)
• Good knowledge of Python, Visual C++, VBA, PowerShell
• Familiarity with MS C++, ATL, SOAP, and Windows/Linux server administration
• Strong experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS Access, and MS Excel
• Expertise in data modeling (especially bi-temporal models), data migration, and business intelligence
• Experience in data analysis and integration of heterogeneous systems
• Background in the energy industry, ideally in street lighting
• Familiarity with agile and test-driven development (TDD)
• Experience with SVN and Git version control systems
• Knowledge of GIS concepts, coordinate transformations, and graphical evaluations
• Fluent in written and spoken German
