Senior PEGA System Architect (with German)

Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Architect for a cross-departmental IT transformation project in the public sector. The role involves designing, developing, and evolving complex system architectures that are scalable, secure, and high-performing. You will work closely with business units, development teams, and operations to ensure architectural decisions are sustainable, future-proof, and aligned with the overall program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the overall technical architecture for complex IT systems
• Analyze requirements and translate them into sustainable architecture and integration concepts
• Define architecture standards, interfaces, and integration patterns
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, security specialists, and business stakeholders
• Ensure scalability, security, availability, and high performance of solutions
• Evaluate new technologies and integrate them into the existing system landscape
• Create technical architecture documentation and guidelines
• Support security and compliance implementations
• Provide architectural guidance for implementations, migrations, and rollouts

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a PEGA System Architect
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, integration patterns, and best practices
• Experience designing hybrid system landscapes (on-premise and cloud)
• Solid understanding of server, storage, network, and virtualization technologies
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or OpenShift and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code
• Expertise in performance analysis, monitoring, and optimization
• Business fluent in German; good English skills are a plus
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented with strong consulting abilities
