Description
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Architect to support a major platform migration within the Product Cluster Grid Asset System in the Product Line IT Operations. The project involves migrating microservice workloads from Microsoft Azure to the Elia Digital Platform (EDP), a hybrid cloud solution supporting the energy transition. You will work closely with cross-project teams to ensure a seamless migration, adhering to reference architectures and best practices for scalability, security, and performance. The role is primarily remote, with occasional onsite presence in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Consult and coordinate the migration of microservice workloads from Azure to EDP hybrid cloud
- Analyze current deployments and microservice architecture, adapting them to the target platforms reference architecture
- Support application deployments and ensure alignment with migration strategies
- Provide DevOps consulting for setup, configuration, and deployment of applications on the new platform
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and engineers to ensure smooth execution
- Create and maintain documentation for migration processes, configurations, and architecture changes
- Integrate and optimize CI/CD pipelines for real-time updates and testing
- Monitor performance, reliability, and security, introducing proactive error detection and observability
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration
- Deliver input for project meetings and process tasks from the project backlog
Requirements
- 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer and 2+ years as a DevOps or Solution Architect
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (especially Azure) and microservice design patterns
- Proficiency with ArgoCD, Helm, Kubernetes, Kafka, CEPH, PostgreSQL, Git, and CI/CD concepts
- Experience with container orchestration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with scripting and automation in DevOps environments
- Strong problem-solving and incident management skills
- English level C1; German is a plus
- Ability to provide project references demonstrating relevant experience
