At Akindra Talents (based in the heart of Transylvania, Romania), we focus on connecting talents to our customers all over Europe. We build and manage remote (operational) support and development teams and offer support to our (freelance) collaborators during their journey.

We are currently looking for a skilled Qt Squish Tester and/or Robot Framework Engineer to support an embedded software testing project in the production sector. You'll be working on improving the software integration testing process for modern kitchen appliances using C++, Qt, and Python technologies. The focus is both analytical and hands-on, involving test framework improvements, implementation, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the existing continuous integration test environment for embedded C++ and Qt applications.
• Propose and implement solutions for verification of C++ firmware using dedicated test applications.
• Work with tools like Qt Squish, Robot Framework, and scripting in Python to design and automate test processes.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand application architecture, define testing strategies, and ensure software quality.
• Contribute to the development of test automation suites and documentation of all implemented solutions.
• Follow a structured backlog to independently pull and complete tasks, with support and guidance from the service provider.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Qt Squish and/or Robot Framework (Squish is preferred).
• Solid know-how of Qt6, C++, and Python in an embedded systems context.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid analytical and implementation-focused testing role.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining regular communication.
• Fluency in English is necessary for all project-related interactions.
