Odoo Functional Consultant

Akindra Talents (member of the Belgian Brainbridge Group) is a Romania-based IT workforce company providing flexible (IT) staffing solutions and support to global customers. At Akindra Talents (based in the heart of Transylvania, Romania), we focus on connecting talents to our customers all over Europe. We build and manage remote (operational) support and development teams and offer support to our (freelance) collaborators during their journey.

We are currently looking for a Functional Odoo Consultant to join an ongoing collaboration with a client focused on smart, people-centered software implementation. This part-time role (with the potential to scale) is ideal for someone who thrives on

transforming complex business needs into elegant, functional ERP solutions using Odoo.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client business processes and align them with Odoo functionalities across multiple modules.
• Configure, customize, and implement Odoo modules such as Sales, Purchase, Accounting, CRM, Inventory, and Contacts.
• Conduct gap analysis and propose effective functional solutions within the Odoo ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with developers and project managers to translate functional specifications into technical deliverables.
• Deliver training, support, and user documentation to ensure smooth system adoption.
• Lead testing, user acceptance, and deployment activities across client projects.
• Ensure proactive communication and maintain high levels of client satisfaction throughout project phases.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant.
• Proven expertise across key Odoo modules: Sales, Purchase, Accounting, CRM, Inventory, Contacts.
• Strong understanding of business processes and their application within Odoo workflows.
• Ability to configure Odoo modules without direct coding.
• Skilled in writing functional specs, user stories, and documenting processes (UML, BPMN).
• Experience with user training, testing (UAT), and functional support.
• Comfortable using tools such as Git, Jira, and Odoo.sh for project collaboration.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proactive mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
