Our client specializes in the distribution of chemicals across emerging markets worldwide, focusing on industries such as home care, nutrition, and mining. The company has its own local logistics assets and provides services including storage, value-added logistics, and just-in-time deliveries. With over 3000 employees, the annual revenues exceed 2.5 billion USD, reflecting its significant presence in the chemical distribution sector.

They are currently looking for an experienced Service Delivery professional to support onboarding of IT Infrastructure Managed Services.  This short term role (3 months initially) combines technical understanding of IT infrastructure with Vendor management, RFP experience and evaluation, Procurement management, Stakeholder coordination and Contract - Legal awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding IT infrastructure Managed Services; 
  • Support the definition and documentation of IT infrastructure requirements across networking, servers, storage, cloud, end-user computing, and security;
  • Produce clear RFP documentation, governance materials, scorecards, technical evaluations,
    and executive summaries;
  • Prepare and manage RFP/RFI processes, including requirements, evaluation criteria, scoring matrices, SLAs, TCO models, vendor Q&A, demonstrations, shortlisting, and negotiations;
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and vendors throughout the sourcing process, ensuring requirements are clear, responses are comparable, and technical proposals can be effectively challenged;
  • Support contract and governance activities, considering outsourcing structures, GDPR, data sovereignty, exit clauses, and vendor lock-in risks.

Requirements

Technical

  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure different domains;
  • Solid understanding of : Networking, servers, storage, cloud, end-user computing, security;
  • Familiar with common outsourcing models (IaaS, managed services, co-sourcing).

Procurement & RFP Expertise

  • Proven experience writing RFPs/RFIs for IT services — ideally infrastructure specifically;
  • Knows how to structure evaluation criteria, scoring matrices, and SLAs;
  • Understands TCO modeling and how to make vendor responses comparable.

Vendor Management

  • Experience running vendor selection processes (shortlisting, Q&A sessions, demonstrations, negotiations);
  • Knows how to avoid vendor lock-in traps in contract language;
  • (internal) Stakeholder & Requirements Management.

Contract & Legal Awareness

  • Familiarity with IT outsourcing contract structures, GDPR implications, data sovereignty, exit clauses.

Communication & Documentation

  • Clear, structured writing — RFPs are read by external vendors and must be unambiguous;
  • Can produce governance documents, scorecards, and executive summaries.

Nice to Have

  • ITIL or similar framework knowledge;
  • Experience in your specific sector (regulated industries have extra compliance requirements);
  • Prior work at a consultancy doing IT sourcing advisory;
  • Enough depth to challenge vendor claims and evaluate technical proposals.
