Cloud Operation Expert (with German)

Based in the heart of Transylvania, we focus on connecting talented individuals with our clients across Europe. We build and manage remote operational support and development teams, while also supporting our freelance collaborators during their journey.

For one of our clients, we are looking for several experienced Cloud Operations Experts to join a major transformation program focused on building, optimizing, and securing modern cloud environments in Microsoft Azure. The assignment is part of the Cloud Management Service within the IT Service and Infrastructure Management department. The service is responsible for driving the Cloud Native Transformation Program, enabling the organization to modernize its IT landscape and transition to scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement dynamic, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and apply modern cloud transformation strategies for existing environments.
• Modernize and create cloud-native applications aligned with business and IT objectives.
• Migrate traditional server-based applications to container platforms (especially Kubernetes).
• Expand and enhance cloud-based system landscapes, ensuring stability and performance.
• Define and implement best practices for cloud operations, focusing on security, compliance, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities in cloud management and operations.
• Conduct workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions for IT operations teams.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, business units, and external providers to ensure seamless delivery of service packages.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in cloud infrastructure management and operations, ideally in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including architecture, deployment, and cost management (Azure certifications are a plus).
• Proven experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
• Excellent understanding of hybrid infrastructure (public cloud and traditional data centers).
• Strong consulting and communication skills in both German and English.
• Experience managing and coordinating external service providers.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong initiative and hands-on mentality.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud and on-prem database operations.
• Practical understanding of agile methodologies and ITIL-based service management.
• Knowledge of data protection, cybersecurity, and ISMS standards.
