We are looking for an experienced Migration Data Analyst to support a long-term SAP data migration initiative. The role focuses on planning, executing, and governing data migration activities while ensuring high data quality across complex SAP landscapes. You will play a key role in defining migration strategies, cleansing and validating legacy data, and establishing robust data quality controls that support both migration and new SAP implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze legacy data and define data scope, objects, and transformation rules
  • Perform data extraction, cleansing, enrichment, validation, and reconciliation
  • Execute data reconciliation between legacy systems and target SAP environments
  • Define and implement data quality rules, metrics, and control mechanisms
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, duplicates, and master data issues
  • Support data governance frameworks and master data ownership models
  • Collaborate closely with business data owners to improve data standards and processes
  • Prepare and maintain data quality dashboards and reporting
  • Develop ABAP programs for data migration, validation, and reconciliation
  • Create data transformation logic and detailed mapping documentation
  • Implement error handling and logging mechanisms for migration programs

Requirements

  • Strong experience in data migration and data quality management
  • Solid knowledge of SAP master and transactional data objects including Business Partner, Finance (GL, AR, AP, Assets), and Material Master
  • Proven experience with data reconciliation and audit support
  • Expert knowledge of the FS PM data model, including Policeman tables, journal structures, and time models
  • Deep understanding of migration strategies such as Big Bang and Phased approaches
  • Experience using FS PM-specific migration BAPIs and APIs
  • Strong proficiency in ABAP and ABAP OO for mass data processing and validation
  • Experience with ETL and migration tools such as msg.AIM, LSMW, or SAP Data Services
  • Strong expertise in data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation reporting
  • Meticulous attention to data quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • 5 to 10 plus years of overall data migration experience, with at least 3 years focused on migration and data quality
  • Experience working in large-scale or complex SAP landscapes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and cutover pressure
  • English proficiency required, French is a plus
